Darwin Harbour NT - Equinox Charters:
I had long wanted to fish Darwin
Harbour aboard the Charter boat Equinox. Equinox charters run a very
professional charter out of Darwin running 2 boats on most days.
I planned a 1 day charter in
March 2006 again with my good friend Dave Armstrong and Scott Wheildon. We
arrived at 6am to less than ideal conditions and joined 13 other keen
fisho's for what hopefully
The conditions were less than ideal and bottom bouncing required substantial amounts of lead to remain on the bottom. Even so it wasn't long before I hooked and landed a good 8kg Black Jewfish. The smile tells it all. The Jewfish on this day were few and far between with neither Dave or Scott landing an illusive Black Jewfish. All in all the day resulted in a mix bag of fish with only 4 Black Jewfish caught. That's fishing for you.
